Sources tell NetNewsLedger that  school is apparently closed for both Monday and Tuesday. Reportedly this is water from ditches that are still frozen.

The ground is frozen, and water cannot go anywhere. It is rising and going into homes.

The flood waters are also causing sewage to go reverse, so raw sewage is reportedly coming up drains into homes.

Many in the community are worried. Likely there is a fear that the federal government will not respond with help as fast as it is needed.

Some of the men, who are out hunting near Akamaski Island, are reported  stuck for the night and have  decided to camp out half way to Attawapiskat. This is due to rising water between Akamaski and Attawapiskat.
